WPL 2026: Mumbai Indians To Face RCB In Opening Match On THIS Date

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday (November 29) officially announced the full schedule for the 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL). The fourth edition of the five-team tournament will run from January 9 to February 5, with all matches being split across two venues: Navi Mumbai and Vadodara.

The tournament is set to kick off with a high-octane clash at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 9, featuring two-time champions Mumbai Indians taking on the 2024 winners, Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

According to the release, the first leg of the WPL 2026 will be held entirely in Navi Mumbai from January 9 to January 17, with a total of 11 matches scheduled at the DY Patil Stadium.

The league will then transition to Vadodara, where the remaining 11 fixtures will be played, including all the playoff matches. The schedule is structured to conclude with the Eliminator match between the second and third-placed teams on February 3, leading up to the Final on February 5, which will crown the WPL 2026 champions.
