#OperationGanga: Flight carrying 160 Indian students evacuated from Ukraine reaches Delhi

A special flight, carrying 160 Indian evacuees from Ukraine, landed here on Monday from Budapest in Hungary. The Air Asia flight, which evacuated the citizens, evacuated the stranded students from Hungary and landed at the airport at around 4-4.30 am. Harishma, a student who is a Bengaluru resident, said, "It was really difficult. We travelled for three days through the metro tunnel. After we reached Ukraine border, the Indian Embassy evacuated us and brought us back. They had made all the arrangements such as food and water. I am happy that I am back in the country."

#OperationGanga: IAF brings back 629 evacuated Indian nationals from Romania, Slovakia, Poland

New Delhi [India], March 5 (ANI): The Indian Air Force on Saturday brought back 629 evacuated Indian nationals from Ukraine's neighbouring countries Romania, Slovakia and Poland as part of the ongoing 'Operation Ganga'. "Three C-17 heavy-lift transport aircraft of the IAF, which had taken off from Hindan Airbase on Friday, landed back to the base on Saturday morning with the evacuated Indians," said the official release. "They had carried 16.5 tonnes of relief material on the outbound journey," IAF Tweeted.

Operation Ganga: 80 flights deployed to evacuate stranded Indians from Ukraine.

In a bid to further scale up the evacuation efforts, the government has deployed 80 flights under 'Operation Ganga' to evacuate stranded Indians from Ukraine. The government has also roped in more than two dozen Ministers to monitor evacuation missions without any hiccups, sources told ANI on Thursday. Sources told ANI that the government has accelerated the evacuation plan for the Indians stranded in Ukraine.

Under Operation Ganga, 3726 Indians will be brought back home today on 8 flights from Bucharest, 2 flights from Suceava, 1 flight from Kosice, 5 flights from Budapest and 3 flights from Rzeszow Civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia

Do not politicise #OperationGanga: Former PM Devegowda

On Monday, former Prime Minister H.D Devegowda took on Twitter to urge the political parties to not politicise the ongoing evacuation process in Ukraine, #OperationGanga. He urged all the parties to cooperate and not "demoralize that conducting the operation."
