After Russian President Vladimir Putin authorised the war on Ukraine last week, NATO members rushed to fortify their eastern flank, according to news agency AFP. The allies, on the other hand, remained firm that they would not get 'military entangled' in Ukraine, which is not yet a member of the alliance.
