Delhi Police file supplementary charge sheet in larger conspiracy case of northeast Delhi violence

The Delhi Police have filed a third supplementary charge sheet in the matter of the North East Delhi Violence, which is linked to a bigger conspiracy under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. It includes video footage as well as Asif Iqbal Tanha’s voice sample report.

On Wednesday, Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh Rawat received a supplementary charge sheet. The copies will be sent to the court by Thursday morning, according to the police.

The charge sheet was taken into consideration by the Court.
According to Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Amit Prasad, this charge sheet contains details of images of the accused who attended the Chandbagh meeting on the 22nd and 23rd of January 2020. He said that the plot was concocted in Aiyaz’s basement.

This case concerns riots that occurred in Delhi’s North East in February 2020. According to the authorities, 53 people died and hundreds were injured during the unrest.
