Mumbai (Maharashtra), February 24: Bollywood power couple Ajay Devgn and Kajol are celebrating 26 years of marital happiness today. The ‘Dilwale’ actor took to social media to share a special post marking the milestone.
On Instagram, Ajay posted a throwback picture of himself with Kajol, along with another image featuring animated characters. He captioned the post, “Beating this trend by 26 years. Happy anniversary to us,” reflecting the couple’s long-lasting bond.
Ajay and Kajol tied the knot on February 24, 1999, and are proud parents to two children: daughter Nysa and son Yug.
On the professional front, Ajay Devgn was recently seen in Azaad, a period drama set in pre-independence India. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film showcases Ajay as a rebel and skilled horse rider connected to his loyal horse. Released in theatres on January 17, 2025, Azaad has already gained attention. Additionally, Ajay appeared in Singham Again, which was released during Diwali last year. The film went head-to-head with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at the box office, and both films performed exceptionally well.
Kajol, on the other hand, received praise for her role in Do Patti. Directed by debutant Shashanka Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon, the film is set in the fictional town of Devipur, Uttarakhand. Kajol plays a fierce cop investigating an attempted murder case, while Kriti Sanon takes on a double role as twin sisters involved in the investigation. The film also stars Shaheer Sheikh as Dhruv Sood, adding layers of love and intrigue to the plot. Do Patti marks Kajol’s second collaboration with Kriti Sanon following Dilwale. The film is produced by Kanika Dhillon and Kriti Sanon.
